About Us

Aletheian Polygraph is a Veteran-Owned Small Business operating out of the National Capital Region with services in towns throughout the NCR. All of our Polygraphers (Forensic Psycho-Physiologists) are local examiners who have graduated from an APA Accredited training school and are screened and vetted through rigorous Quality Control Reviews before joining our team. Our examiners are required to maintain all continuing education requirements mandated by the APA to ensure they are current on the most up-to-date techniques and procedures. We will never assign our customers to an untrained or uncertified examiner.

Types of Examinations

Aletheian Polygraph examiners will not provide illegal exams. If you request an examination that is not
legal to conduct in your state, we will not provide this exam and you will forfeit your deposit for that exam.

Guarantee & Refund Policy

  • Initial Deposits Are Non-Refundable. ALE-Poly is a fee for service company. The initial deposit you submit with your registration is guarantees your referral to a qualified examiner, NOT for the exam.  However, this referral Fee will be deducted from the exam fee to calculate the balance which is paid directly to your examiner.  REFERRAL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE unless we fail to live up to our Guarantee (see below). 
  • Cancellation Policy. Once you have scheduled an exam, your examiner will require AT LEAST two full business day’s notice to cancel or you will be responsible for paying the entire exam fee to the examiner. This includes no shows. Your local examiner may have additional policies in place regarding the cancellation of appointments which the examiner will provide to you. 
  • Second deposit required after scheduling. Once an appointment has been scheduled, your examiner will require a
  • Reservation Fee to hold that appointment for you.
  • This Reservation Fee will also be deducted from the balance due.  Your examiner will provide you with terms and conditions for the final payment.
  • Illegal exams are not accepted. Some types of exams are illegal in some areas.  It is your responsibility to insure that it is legal to request the exam in the jurisdiction where the exam is to be conducted. A deposit submitted for an illegal polygraph purpose will not be refunded. Contact us before scheduling if you are unsure about this. 
  • Late arrival penalties.  You will incur late fees if you do not arrive at your appointment on time. After 30 minutes you are considered a no show unless you have made arrangements for your examiner to wait for you.  No exam may be cancelled on the day of testing.

Our owner and senior examiner is an APA-certified, licensed polygraph examiner who holds memberships in the American Polygraph Association, Maryland Polygraph Association, The Global Polygraph Network, and The Mid-Atlantic Police Polygraph Consortium. He is APA certified to conduct Post-Conviction Sex Offender exams and has an extensive law enforcement and military background of more than forty years. Our examiners have conducted tests for federal employees, corporate executives, law enforcement agencies, legal & criminal investigations, and have provided exams internationally.

Initial Consultation

The Initial Consultation is free, clients can obtain information about all our services and obtain pricing for polygraph in their respective areas. After the initial deposit and clients have booked their appointment there will be another consult that will take place with the assigned examiner. This consultation usually takes no more than thirty minutes while the examiner collects the background information on the issues that pertain to the examination.
