Polygraph

Polygraph

The use of polygraphs to determine truthfulness regarding the facts of almost any situation is what our business specializes in. Our services are used by the general public, attorneys, therapists, government, and law enforcement agencies to meet their truth-finding needs. The list provided offers a look into what situations polygraphs can be used for.

NOTE: Aletheian Polygraph examiners will not provide illegal exams. If you request an examination that is not legal to conduct in your state, we will not provide this exam, and you will forfeit your deposit for that exam.

Theft / Embezzlement / Financial Losses (not employment-related)

  • We can test individuals accused or suspected of theft, including those individuals wishing to prove their innocence.
  • Examinees must be willing to be tested and have no employee-employer relationship for us to provide this service to you.

Theft / Embezzlement / Financial Losses (employment-related)

  • When an employer suspects an employee of theft, embezzlement, or vandalism of company property, we can provide this service except in a few U.S. states that prohibit employee testing.

Relationships and Infidelity

  • When trust is lost in a relationship, it could take years to rebuild, if ever. In many cases, the evidence of adultery is not definitive, so the only way to find out the truth is through polygraph testing.

Therapeutic Disclosures and Sex Addiction

  • This is a variation of a “Statement Verification” exam in which the examinee prepares a written disclosure document to his/her partner about any acts or conduct the partner might be concerned about. The polygraph is then used to verify the content of the disclosure.
  • This method is typically used in the therapeutic process after the examinee has already made admissions of infidelity or other unapproved behaviors and is attempting to verify the full extent of those behaviors.
  • By definition, this is a multiple-issue test with results potentially less reliable than a single-issue exam; however, it is often the only way to resolve multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Diagnosed “sex addicts” are frequently administered a therapeutic disclosure exam as part of their treatment program.
  • The disclosure document should/can include a numbered list of specific disclosures and denials and should be signed and dated.
